The Archive of the Compagnia di San Paolo and the Reading Room of the Historical Archives are open to researchers by appointment* at the Fondazione 1563’s premises in Piazza Lorenzo Bernini 5, Monday to Friday, 9 am – 1 pm; 2 pm – 4.30 pm.

From Monday 13 July 2020, we welcome visitors back in the Reading Room of the Historical Archives and Library of the Compagnia di San Paolo. The Fondazione 1563 introduced a number of measures to ensure the safety of staff and visitors in the main building and in the Reading Room, in line with government guidance on social distancing.
We’re able to provide access to the Reading Room for one researcher per day only.
Visitors are required to book their visit and wear face coverings entering the building.
